Melrose Meets Lady Gaga.

A Week ago my number one Fan ( Elaine) and myself were driving down Melrose, when all of a sudden she started screaming " OMG was this a Lady Gaga outfit" so of course we HAD to turn around and check it out..and this is what we saw; PURE GENUIS.
This is the window of a store called Alpha on Melrose. Their Valentine's Day window design was inspired by none other than Alexander McQueen's Red dress; that was worn by Lady Gaga at the 2009 VMAS. I have to say their Visual Manager is truly Amazing and very Creative. This is not a real Alexander McQueen piece. In fact their Visual Manager made it all by himself; which makes this even more amazing.
Driving down steerts and seeing such amazing design and art makes me really happy.

No One Does GLAMOUR like Victoria Beckham.

 SIMPLY AMAZING...TO DIE FOR.

Color Friendly

Two things I don't like to see or hear are a colorless closet, and the words " but i don't look good in color" or " I don't feel comfortable in color". I speak from experience I have had customers who used to walk into the store and pick out everything that was black, brown, cream or white; even though the pieces they picked do come in other colors. When asked why, the response was always " I don't know, I just never go for the colors", or " omg no I can't, they are too bright".

There is nothing wrong with colors, In fact colors can determine how you feel sometimes. Not just that but it can also help you change your mood and it can help you set a statement or stand out in a crowd. Imagine eating skittles or m&ms that are black & white, in a way it takes all the fun out of eating it and it won't look appealing to the eye. therefore people won't eat it as much.

It drives me crazy when I walk into a party and every girl there is dressed in black. I understand it's an evening event and you want to look classy and elegant, but guess what you can still look classy, elegant and sophisticated wearing colors. The Little black dress will always remain in style, the color black itself is a classic and it will always and forever remain in style. It's ok to pair the black dress with hot pink bumps or any colored bumps. You want to stand out at a party and not blend it with the crowd. Walk in and make a statement, make people recognize that you are actually at the party.

People get afraid of colors, instead of experimenting they stick to the basics. It's OK to experiment, and play with colors. It's actually FUN.Get out there and buy a new pair of Neon heels or any colored heels. Get a pair of colored skirts, dresses and shirts and pair them with what you have in your closet and I promise you, you will feel and see the difference one color or many can make.

Red Lipstick, One Color Fits All ?

As we all can see red lipstick is really in, and everyone seems to be " rocking" it. My question is Does It look good on everyone?
I personally think that it definitely doesn't look good on everyone. I see girls wearing it all the time and they just look like clowns to me. There isn't really a rule for wearing red lipstick, it's all about wearing it and making it work.

when wearing red lipstick, you should keep a couple of things in mind :
1- What tone color is your skin. ( I am not saying if you're a certain color you can't wear it).
I've seen so many light skin people wear it and look really good , and I've seen others that just look horrible. same goes to dark skinned people or tanned people.
2- Finding the right shade of red.
There are millions of shades of red lipstick out there. The secret is to find the right shade that will go with your skin color.
Pale skin does not look good with bright red lipstick. maybe a darker shade or maybe not red at all.
Most girls who actually make the mistake of wearing red lipstick are the ones with pale skin.
3- Avoid wearing red lipstick with too much make up on. ( again takes us back to the " clown" look).

Please girls DO NOT wear red lipstick if it doesn't look good on you. you may like it but it hurts the eyes.
Just because it's in doesn't mean it will look good on you. Red is definitely NOT a One Color Fits All.
